Hope Against Cancer's Snowflake and Mistletoe Christmas Party
This was an amazing event for an incredible cause. The set up was spectacular, with snowflakes hanging from the ceiling, lovely uplighting around the room and a sled in the corner, which was a hot spot for festive photos.
There was a wide range of ages in the audience, but we managed to get every single one of them up on their feet at different times in our set, and all simultaneously when we put on Sandstorm and Out of Space!
We would like to give a shout out to the group of women who had some special glasses for our performance (you know who you are 😉) and to Alistair (whose wedding we also performed at) who came to join us for Club Tropicana for a second time!
Lucy and Tom Jenkins Wedding
The full Souljers brigade were on the scene for Lucy and Tom’s special day at Shustoke Farm Barns. The venue was beautiful, with high church-like ceilings and incredible lighting outside that illuminated everything, including the spectacular water fountain in the courtyard. Shustoke Barn was an idyllic setting for all elements of their day, perfectly proportioned for a ceremony and dinner and then transformed into a generous dance floor and party space for the evening. The space can hold up to 140 guests for ceremonies and for eating plus 200 in the evening for drinks and dancing. Perfect for a legendary bespoke wedding!
We thought their wedding cake was absolutely incredible. It beautifully linked the wedding and Christmas themes, with white snowflakes trailing over the table and up the three tiers of cake, like the train of a wedding dress.
Mr and Mrs Jenkins' first dance was also a perfect combination of a wedding and Christmas - everyone appreciated this classic!
Paragon Christmas Party
Although we started our set later than usual due to a bucket-full of christmas games, the audience was legendarily full of energy and the dance floor was packed all night.
This event was held at the Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club, which is an incredible location set in the heart of the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside. The decorations were fantastically festive and colour coordinated; red and gold ribbons on the back of the guests chairs and a huge Christmas tree covered in red and gold decorations.
A thoroughly French affair!
This was certainly a night to remember as it was the first and only time we have incorporated French songs into our set.
We were based in the smaller of the two rooms that Mythe Barn has on offer, and we are all convinced that some of our best nights are in that room. It is always really intimate and chilled, but then can be ramped up in a nano-second when the Souljers are in town!!
This lovely couple's wedding car was a gorgeous old Citron CV6 wrapped in red and white bunting. This very much caught the Souljers' eyes, as it is very different to the modern car with white ribbon look and we absolutely loved it! Vintage wedding cars all the way!
